Suzanne Whitman

Suzanne is originally from Houston, Texas, and spent many years in Austin, Texas; but as many Texans do, she fled the heat and moved to Colorado in early 2024.

She has an extensive background working with animals, including working at a racehorse rescue, before getting into veterinary medicine. Suzanne started in the veterinary field as an unlicensed veterinary technician in 2016; and she has worked in small animal, equine, exotic, and mixed practice clinics. She has spent time in General Practice, Oncology, ICU/Internal Medicine, and Dermatology clinics. Suzanne moved into Hospital Management in 2020 while working at a specialty practice, and she has managed several GP clinics before joining the ER field with AUC. She is Fear Free Certified (since 2023),and enjoy implementing Fear Free techniques and advocating for patients.

Outside of work, Suzanne loves hiking; camping; riding horses; reading; and spending time with her husband, friends, family, and pets. She has two dogs (Juniper, a Bernese Mountain Dog; and Ember, a rescued German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix). She loves the fall, and her favorite holiday is Halloween.
