Animal Urgent Care (AUC)

Our surgical suite is prepared for a wide range of emergency surgical procedures. We have a fully integrated operative environment which provides your pet quality and efficient care.

We are equipped with a Snyder oxygen cage for any patient experiencing a respiratory emergency. We have a variety of ways to deliver oxygen based on the needs and size of your pet. IV fluid therapy is available for all patients. We provide fluid therapy that is monitored 24/7 by our hospital team.

Rattlesnake bites are becoming increasingly common in the Denver metro area, as well as the foothills. We stock rattlesnake antivenin for your pet in the event of this emergency. Antivenin is very helpful in the inactivation of snake venom. The sooner your pet is treated for this emergency, the better the outcome.

We offer excellent patient monitoring of all patients hospitalized with us. Our doctors and technicians personally monitor your pet’s vital signs and overall response to treatment. We also offer continuous monitoring that tracks your pet’s heart rate, blood pressure and other parameters as needed.

Digital Radiology

• Digital radiology is a diagnostic tool that we can use to help diagnose and treat your pet. Using digital radiology gives us the opportunity to enhance visualization. We also have access to a board-certified radiologist 24/7 for consultation.

Ultrasound

• Our emergency doctors use ultrasound as a quick non-invasive way to evaluate your pet. We also offer ultrasounds provided by a board-certified radiologist Monday-Friday. Using this service, we are able to diagnose abnormalities and collect fine needle aspirates.

We have a wide range of laboratory capabilities that are available 24/7 to help us quickly evaluate and treat your pet. This eliminates the wait for send out diagnostic testing, which helps us provide care for your pets. For specialized testing, we also maintain relationships with reference laboratories all over the country.
