Dr. Karrie Miyamoto was born and raised in Colorado. She attended Gonzaga University for her undergraduate degree. Then she worked at the San Diego Zoo and various small animal hospitals in San Diego for several years before attending veterinary school at St. George's University in Grenada. She completed her clinical year training at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and moved home to CO to join AUC in February of 2025. In her free time, you can find her outside skiing, rock climbing, or camping. She also loves scuba diving and snorkeling whenever she has the chance. She is pictured with her GSD, Toshi, and has a blue point Balinese cat named Pixie as well.
